More than 680 people have completed the test

What's in the test

The tasks are picked at random from the site's task base: SQL queries against real databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and others) and theory questions. The difficulty of a task comes from the votes of the users who solved it.

  • Easy4 tasks
  • Simple3 tasks
  • Normal2 tasks
  • Difficult2 tasks
  • Hard1 task

How the grade is set

Any grade needs at least 6 of the 12 tasks solved.

  1. InternAll 4 easy tasks
  2. JuniorAll easy tasks and at least 6 of the other 8
  3. MiddleAll easy, simple and normal tasks and 2 of the 3 hardest
  4. SeniorAll 12 tasks
  • +1 grade if every task you solved passed on the first check
  • −1 grade if you needed more than 2 checks per solved task on average

How it works

  1. Start the test, and the 3-hour timer begins. The tasks are listed in the menu: solve them in any order and come back to the ones you skipped.
  2. Write a query or pick the answers and check them. A wrong check doesn't end the task, but every extra check counts.
  3. Press "I'm done!" when you are ready, or wait for the time to run out. You'll see the result and can save your grade to your profile.

We may adjust the grading rules as we collect test results and feedback.
