How avoid accidental deletion?

How can you know in advance which records will be deleted when performing DELETE?

Replace DELETE with SELECT *, because otherwise the DELETE syntax is similar to the syntax of a simple SELECT.

Why in advance? Just call it and see what records are missing.

SQL is created to store data, it cannot be deleted.

Make DELETE with LIMIT 1: one record is not a pity.
